Dr. Upendra Devkota was a neurosurgeon and the foundation of the first neurological trauma unit in Nepal in Bir Hospital. He has also held the post of Minister of Health, Science, and Technology in the Government of Nepal.
Dr. Devkota has died today. He was suffering from Bile Duct Cancer Cholangiocarcinoma which was diagonized at the King’s College Hospital UK.
Dr. Devkota left behind his wife Madhu Dixit Devkota and three daughters.

He was 64 years old.
